Praise Report

We wanted to let all of you know, God has answered our prayers. Shortly after requesting prayer for a 4 x 4 vehicle, the Lord super-naturally provided exactly what we had prayed for & as His nature, even more than we were willing to ask for! (Ephesians 3:20) A week later we were able to sell the small Fun Cargo car for more than we paid for it 15 months ago. God is able and we are celebrating His faithfulness & His kindness towards us & the ministry here in Malawi!

It is a 1999 Toyota Land Cruiser, purchased from a British couple who were returning to the U.K. following their tour here in Malawi. We took the vehicle to a Christian managed garage & had them check it from bumper to bumper. We received a good report, but we were still $1800 short in the funds needed to complete the transaction. So, we have used some of our personal resources to finalize the transaction, with the full assurance the Lord will provide!

We are so blessed to have this vehicle, as we leave today for one of the new villages where a 4 x 4 is mandatory to be able to reach. God is good all the time!!!!!!!!!!!! Please continue to pray for us & the country of Malawi. There is still a lot of tension here & the people of Malawi need all our prayers! Thank all of you who have made the Toyota purchase a reality and remember us in your prayers.

Prayer Needs

Please be praying for us this week as we venture out to two new villages, Kasungu & Chorwe. In Kasungu, a two hour drive from Lilongwe, we will be doing a Pastors Conference on August26th-28th, so we are traveling there tomorrow to give a briefing to the lead Pastors, check out the facilities where we will using for this conference, & going through all the logistics. Friday,in the village of Chorwe, we begin a new program in association with our Christian brothers of Water Mission International who provide water purification systems to remote villages who have no existing clean water available to them. So, our joint effort is this, we provide the "Living Water" to these villages & WMI provides the physical water that is so desperately needed. This program that begins this week will run over the next two months in order to allow our team to minister a broad based ministry to the whole of the community. Here is the type of ministry we will be offering:

* Children's Outreach, using the newly arrived Puppet ministry, which has been donated by some dear friends in California. Followed by the showing of the Jesus Movie to all the community that evening, which is being shown by the local staff of Campus Crusade for Christ working in cooperation with us.
* Meeting with all Christian Pastors of the community, to outline what we will be offering in the Pastors Conference. Then setting the date for said conference, determining how many we should expect to be attending.
* Marriage Seminar conducted by Steve & Nora
* Women's Seminar conducted by Nora.
* Parenting Seminar presented by Steve & Nora
* Ministry focused on widows & orphans presented by Nora.
* Ongoing Children's ministry conducted by Timothy Kailedzi.

This model, if proven to be a viable & workable, will become the model we can use over the next two years in cooperation with Water Missions International & CCC. Each ministry doing what God has called them to do, allowing the villages to have a much broader ministry provided to them & allowing the three ministries to augment & support each other by demonstrating how different Christian organizations can compliment & encourage one another.

So, we covet your prayers in these matters, as well as to ask all of you to continue to pray for Malawi, as it deals with the current economic conditions that currently exist in this beautiful country. In addition, please pray that we are able to locate fuel for our vehicle(s), as there is an acute shortage of all types of gasoline & diesel. God bless you all for loving us & participating in the ministry in Malawi with your prayers & support. May God be the glory in all we attempt to do in His name.

In Him,

Steve & Nora
